A note from Cappy Strock, Calhoun Academy's Media Specialist:
Dear Parents,
I have enjoyed getting to know your children in library class each week. I have exciting news to share with you!! We are going to be able to start utilizing Maker’s Space in the library once again after Christmas. For those who don’t know, Maker’s Space is a collaborative workspace inside a school library for making, learning, exploring, and sharing to help provide children critical hands-on learning experiences. Maker’s Space fosters critical thinking and fine motor skills as well as a boost to a child’s self-confidence.
Your help is needed to restock the CA Maker’s Space. If you have any of the following items that you would like to get rid of at home, I would greatly appreciate you donating them to the library. I have also set up an Amazon wish list in case you would like to just donate directly to the library.
